Ketchup Entertainment, the studio responsible for releasing the recent Looney Tunes film, The Day the Earth Blew Up, has purchased the worldwide rights to another Looney Tunes project, Coyote Versus Acme.

In 2023 Warner Brothers decided to shelve the project for a tax break rather than release it. Apparently WB is fine with paying tax on the $50 million Ketchup paid for the hybrid live action/animated film. The studio plans a wide theatrical release in 2026.

The story is a courtroom procedural involving Coyote suing Acme for faulty equipment that caused him substantial bodily harm as well as kept him from catching the delicious Road Runner.

The film stars John Cena and Will Forte as attorneys, and long time Looney Tunes voice actor Eric Bauza. The film was written by James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy), Jeremy Slater (Umbrella Academy), and Samy Burch (May, December)
