Sing Sing, an A24 film starring Coleman Domingo follows a group of men in a prison rehabilitation program where they learn to act and put on plays, was released to select theaters last year. With the Oscars approaching the film is being released wide in January to 500 theaters and simultaneously being made available in prison facilities across 47 states. A24 partnered with Rehabilitation Through the Arts, the real life program the film is based on, and Edovo, a nonprofit that creates curricula for incarcerated individuals to access on tablets.
Sin Sing hits theaters on January 17th.
