The Monkey is a match made in Hell, and that’s a good thing. The film brings together horror master Stephen King and visionary scaremaker Osgood Perkins. The Monkey is Perkins’ follow up to last year’s hit Longlegs. The film is an evil toy story about a toy monkey being at the center of a series of gruesome deaths.

Distributor NEON has released the MPA rating with a real sense of pride. The film will be rated R for strong bloody content, gore, language, and sexual references. They share the actual document from the MPA and note at the bottom that the trailer drops Wednesday at 9am PT, and the movie opens on 2.21.

We’ll have that trailer here for you Wednesday morning!
