Steven Spielberg changed movies forever with his 1975 horror classic JAWS. The film not only made viewers afraid to go in the water but also excited them to go to the theater. Jaws was the first “summer blockbuster,” and it established a formula for releasing films that has been the Hollywood standard for fifty years.
